Will Smith...My Man

For those of you who don't know. I have a bit of I guess you could say a MAN CRUSH on Will Smith. I have loved this guy from the Days of DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. You have to remember their hits such as "Parents Just Don't Understand", "Girl's Ain't Nothing But Trouble", "Nightmare On My Street" & the classic hit "Summertime". Just love that song. Will has to be one of the top 3 most talented men on Earth. I would say the list goes something like this. 1) lephantBRAIN, 2) Jamie Foxx & 3) Will Smith or maybe 1) lephantBRAIN, 2) Will Smith & 3) Jamie Foxx. Anyway you look at it he is a true talent. So the reason I am on the subject of Will Smith is because while reading Johnny Hilldo's blog yesterday(If you are not reading his blog you should, http://johnnyhilldo.blogspot.com/) he had a video of Will Smith on there talking about LIFE. WOW!!!!! It was in my opinion one of the most enlightening interview pieces ever put together. It definitely helped that it was of Will but it was very powerful and I think everyone should really listen to what he says in this clip because he is absolutely right......Anything is possible in life if you are willing to go out and just get it. People are just to damn scared to go get what they want. While they are showing a clip of one of his movies Pursuit of Happiness Will says to his son "People can't do something themselves, they want to tell you, you can't do it.....If you want something go get it..PERIOD"!!! How true is that. If you are surrounded with people like that(I like to call them dream stealer's) get away, surround yourself with people who believe in you and will fight to the death for you. Update On My Goals As Of 1-24-2010

Well as you know I just started task 2 of my goals which is to profit anywhere from $1200-$1300 on the $6.50 90 Man KO tourneys. First week did not go as planned but definitely not as bad as I originally thought. I actually thought I lost at least half of the money I made from the $3.30 90 mans in just my first week of task 2. Boy that would have friggin' sucked. It has to be because I made 26 Final Tables out of the 189 games I played. That's 1 out of every 7.26 games played. Just can't finish strong @ the Final Table. I promise you this though. If I make that many Final Tables next week it will be a very profitable week to say the least. Here's my results thus far. UUGGHH!!!

Well since starting task 2 of my goals(which is to profit anywhere between $1200-$1300 on the $6.50 90 Man KO tourneys) I have lost my ASS thus far. I haven't Shark Scoped myself yet but believe me it's not good and I just can't stomach looking at my graph right now. I will post an update on task 2 this Sunday with Shark Scope graphs. As of right now 1 out of every 6-7 games I play I'm making a Final Table(which is normally pretty good) but just can't seem to finish strong. I'm not gonna be able to achieve my goals with a bunch of 6th & 7th places that's for sure. It would just suck if I lost the original $600 I won on the $3.30 90 Mans and had to start all over with those again right? To ensure this doesn't happen I have already reached out to 1 of the best 90 man players in the world to assist me. His name will remain anonymous for now.

Anyway this video you are about to watch is my first one so bare with me, it's a little rough. I'm going over 2 separate hands I played from 2 separate Final Tables today. I just really wanted to drive home the point that whether you are running really good or piss poor like I am, under no circumstances must you TILT. Just look back at your hand histories and make sure you got your money in with the best hand as well as see if maybe you could have played the hand any differently.

Day Off

No On Line poker today. Went to Big Gram's funeral. I held up pretty good until Malibubarbie41's Mother JUNKnTRUNK1 gave the Eulogy. It was a really great speech but just broke me down. Damn!!! Thought I was gonna go the whole day without crying. Anyway keeping it short today. Looking forward to shipping some CHEEZEBURGERS tomorrow. Big Gram

A wonderful woman, Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother passed away yesterday at the age of 93. Big Gram(name was coined by J-Rod @ the age of 2) Malibubarbie41's Grandmother left us yesterday for a much better place I'm sure. All the years I have known this woman she has been nothing less then kind, generous and loving to everyone she has known including me. She was the Mother of 5 children, 12 grand children & 17 great grand children. I've never before seen so much love in one family before. Definitely something to behold. I really don't want to get any more emotional than I already am so I just want to leave you with this poem by Judith Karen Bulock called Remember Me.

Live Poker Tonight!!!

Going to the "Mountains Ear" in West Virginia tonight to play some live poker with my top student sgthatzo. This should be a very fun evening to say the least mostly because this guy loves to drink when he plays live poker. He also loves to buy me all my drinks as well. It should actually be a pretty relaxing evening BS'ing with all the FISH at the tables........That includes you as well sgthatzo. lol!!! The Bad Beat Jackpot there is $87K. Pretty nice chunk of change I would say. I'll update everyone this weekend how it went as well as any interesting hands that may occur.

We're Moving On Up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a late start playing today because of our weekly cleaning service that comes dressed in French Maid outfits. Very distracting, if you know what I mean, so I decided to just admire the view today and wait until they left. lol!!!

Yes!!! Finally I have completed task 1 of my poker goals. As stated in previous posts I needed to profit anywhere between $600-$650 in the $3.30 90 Man SNG MTT's on Full Tilt. Well today was the day it happened. I only played 23 tourneys but managed to make 6 Final Tables. I ran really bad at the Final Tables though. I got 1-9th Place, 1-7th Place, 1-6th Place, 1-5th Place, 1-3rd Place and the last tournament I played......You guessed it. Ship the CHEEZEBURGERS!!!!! 1st Place BABY!!!! This means on to task 2 of my goals starting tomorrow. I now need to profit anywhere between $1200-$1300 in the $6.50 90 Man SNG MTT's. I'm gonna have to get my mind right though. I'm gonna have to prepare myself for bigger upswings as well as bigger downswings(which always SUCK). I just need to stay focused and always remember that I am a winning player and no matter how many bad beats I may take, the $$$ will end up in my account.
