I know all you poker players thought I was talking about running good in poker.........but I wasn't. I'm talking about running good in school. I just finished up my first 5 week module with straight A's. That's right straight A's. That's the first time in my life I have had straight A's. I'm pretty confident the reason I never have had straight A's before wasn't that I could not get them I was just too busy playing sports as well as chasing girls. Not necessarily in that order either. lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here is the proof.

The next 5 week module is going to be very difficult. I have Algebra, Medical Law & Ethics and Anatomy & Physiology of the Heart 1.

As far as poker I definitely have not played much at all. I haven't played any 90 mans in over a month. I have however played a handful of the Super Duper 300 Chip Turbo Steps on Full Tilt. Those are very addictive. I think I have something like 6Step 2's and 2 Step 3's right now. I tried out the Rush Poker for the first time last week and just love it so I thought I would challenge myself to start at the $.2-$.5 game and start with $5 and try to turn it into $100. I am currently up $1.95. BIG MONEY BABY!!! This may take a hell of a long time because I only get to play once a week maybe twice if I'm lucky. When I get to the $100 we will take a look at what the next highest limit is and set goals accordingly. Until next time I leave you with this.

School & Poker

So this is my first week of the Accelerated Cardiovascular Sonography Program. WOW!! How exhausting and stressful and tonight will only be my third night. You must be kidding me. The program consists of 14 five week modules. Obviously I am in Module 1 which consists of Safety in Health Care Mon/Wed 6PM-7PM & Fridays 8AM-2PM, Biology Mon/Wed 7PM-11PM and a College Mathematics course Tues/Thurs from 6PM-10PM. They only allow 26 students in the program each year which makes it very competitive as well as difficult to get in. Out of the 26 students last year only 8 actually finished. I can already see why. I have had homework every night thus far and I don't forsee that letting up anytime soon. I'm definitely going to give it my all for the next 70 weeks which I hope will fly by with very few bumps in the road.

That brings us to the next question. What about your poker playing? My original plan was to get home from school and start loading the 90 mans up around 11:30PM and stop around 6AM so I could get the boys off to school, then sleep until 3PM when J-Rod gets off the bus and do all my homework then. I'm drawing dead on that plan. There is no way I am going to be able to do that and study at the same time. The program is just too fast paced and requires way too much time for me to be able to play during the week. Monday nights homework which I did yesterday took about 5.5 hours to complete and last nights homework took me 3 hours today. WTF!!!!!! I do hope to be able to play on the weekends and maybe 1 week day. I'm still going to work towards my goal of profiting $2400-$2600 in the $13 90 Mans so I can move up to the $26 ones.....it just might take me a lot longer now since I won't be playing as much. Most Profitable Day Ever!!!!

Man it sure felt good playing today.....Not that it doesn't most days that I play but this day was special. I had my most profitable day yet grinding the 90 Mans. Take a look. It felt twice as good because of the fact I have been getting my ASS handed to me this whole month. On a side note Malibubarbie41 came home from work early to watch me play as well as give me a little inspiration.......If you know what I mean. lol!!!!!!

WSOP Main Event & March MTT Leaderboard

So tomorrow I plan on playing in the $1.10 Main Event Seat Qualifier Tournament which gives away 5 $12K Packages to the 2010 Main Event. There are already 19,000 players signed up for it. Full Tilt is allowing 100,000 to enter. This should be a pretty long tourney if I can manage to go deep so I plan on mixing in a bunch of 90 Mans along with it.

I will also be playing in March TLB Freeroll. As I mentioned in a previous post I thought I may make it into the top 200 on the Leaderboard last month and get my chance to play with the other 199 BIG Boys on Full Tilt. Well I made it. I came in 186th Place. lol!!! If I can somehow maneuver my way through this SHARK infested field I can ship another $12K Winners Choice Package. Wish me luck on shipping $24K CHEEZEBURGERS!!!!!!!

Student Results & His Goals

So as you know I have started dabbling in the coaching arena. First lucky player......sgthatzo. I started coaching him on March 19th 2010. Prior to March 19th he has only made $1 playing the $3.30 90 Mans. From March 19th Through March 31st he has made $72. Not unbelievable but a definite step in the right direction. If he continues to put forth the effort and dedication he will be crushing the $3.30 90 Mans in no time and be ready to move up to the $6.50's.

Like I said before he is a single Dad of 2 and does not have a bunch of time per month to be playing but I still wanted to set a couple of goals for him.

GOAL #1:
Play 300 $3.30 90 Mans In April

GOAL #2:
Review at least 1 HH before he begins to play each session. Have to warm up the BRAIN like any other muscle right?

GOAL #3:
Send Full Tilt an email every 3rd day about giving him rake back until the day that they do.

GOAL #4:
He is not permitted to tell me any bad beat stories. If he does he has to ship me $25 each time.

And so he will quit crying to me on a daily basis....here is sgthatzo's song that he so dearly loves. I know of a few others who love it as well......You know who you are. lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man results for the month. Second graph is my $12+$1 90 Man Results and the 3rd Graph is my $6.50 90 Man Results for March.

Not too shabby. Definitely need to improve on the $12+$1 90 Mans that for sure. Not sure what April is going to bring for me though. I start school on the 19th from 6PM EST until 11PM EST. If anyone can tell me how fast the $6.50's & $12+$1's load around Midnight don't be shy. Hit me up and let me know. That's probably the only chance I'll get to play.

I still hope to get at least 500 games in a month during school. I know that's not a lot to all the Balla's out there but I need to do what's best for me and the BRAIN household. If everything works like I want it to I will be playing all $24+$2's & $12+$1 90 Mans come May.

I'm gonna grind most of the day tomorrow as well as have a training session with sgthatzo around dinner time. I will try to post his results tomorrow night. If I don't have a Great Easter and I'll be back on Monday.

Almost forgot. Want to give my good friend DaddyO a shout out and wish him the best of luck out in California. He has been giving the Opportunity of Lifetime to go and train with arguably the best on line Poker player in the World Mi_turtle. DaddyO is making a tremendous sacrifice by going to California but, there is no doubt that in the long run this is going to be exactly what will allow him to dominate the on line poker scene and make a very lucrative living for himself and his family. He will also be joined by non other than Bodeye2 & Johnny Hilldo 2 of the games premiere Stars.

So tomorrow Malibubarbie41 & I are going to Hollywood Casino in Indiana until Wednesday. She is going on business and so am I. Her business is Therapy and my business is shipping BURGERS!!! She has like 8 nursing homes in Cincinnati that she provides Therapy for, so once a month she needs to get out there and crack the whip on her employees. You know what they say.......When the Cats away the Mice will play.

I think we came to an agreement that any and all profits I make from live poker this year will go towards our trip around the world. Pretty cool right? We shall see.

As far as training goes with sgthatzo it couldn't be going better. He just after our first 2 sessions has learned soooo much it scares me to think where he will be in a couple months if he sticks with it. I have made some goals for him for April but will not post them until I get back Wednesday. I will also post his results as well as a special song that he requested. lol!!! I will also post my results for the month on Wednesday or Thursday.

Something that is fairly new to me is being ranked on the Full Tilt MTT Leaderboard. If by the end of each month you are ranked in the top 200 on it you are entered into a $12K Freeroll Tournament with the other 199 best MTT players on Full Tilt. I am currently ranked something like 156th on it but am a little nervous because I will not be playing on line at all Tuesday or Wednesday and those are the last 2 days of the month. Hopefully tomorrow is a HUGE day for me so I won't have a sweat on Tuesday and Wednesday. Have to go pack now but I will update everyone when I get back on Wednesday. gl

My Student

Ok I have been sort of kidding in past posts about having a student. Now it's official. sgthatzo has signed a 1 year $50K contract as lephantBRAIN's first and only student. lol!!! He is a single Dad of 2(Any single women wanting companionship give a SHOUT) so he doesn't have a lot of time to dedicate to poker but he is very eager to learn and become extremely profitable.

From what I have seen in the past from sgthatzo is that he has a very creative mind to say the least when it comes to poker. One of his biggest problems he has and I used to be the same way was, you can not allow short term results affect your mindset when playing. Just because you lost 20 or 30 games in a row does not mean you are a bad player or even playing bad........It's just variance. As long as you are making the correct decisions over and over and over you will win $$$$$$. The Math doesn't lie when it comes to poker folks. This will be his biggest hurdle to jump if he wants to be a winning player. sgthatzo has to stay focus and make the correct plays over and over again and forget what happens after the money goes in. There is nothing he or anyone can do after the money goes in. Just hope the POKER GOD's are on his side. lol!!!

He has had a bad run in the past(actually not really...He is up $1) pre lephantBRAIN as you can see by his graph(graph does not include rake, he does not have it which him and I will discuss tomorrow). His graph by the way is only 271 $3.30 90 Mans. That's nothing. He's gonna need a couple thousand or so to tell if he is truly a winning player.......which he will be when I get through with him. There is soooo much more I could say about this guy but he will not let me. He's kind of GAY like that.

3) Be more sensitive to Barbie's work life - I've become a GREAT listener.
4) Start preparing mentally for the beginning of school which starts mid April - Done. Ready to go!!!
5) Lay the Smack Down a little bit @ bed time. The kids never want to go to bed - Handled

POKER GOALS: As Of 3-16-2010

1) Play @ least 750 90 Mans - I'm at 436
2) Make $1500+ in profits - I'm at $813
3) Have @ least 1 $400/Day - Done. Did it this past Sunday - The graph is attached
4) Ship @ least 3 90 Mans in 1 session - Nope - Have shipped 2 twice now but not 3

Almost forgot. Step 2 of the lephantBRAIN Challenge is complete. Starting tomorrow I will now be mixing in the $12 + $1 90 Mans KO Tourneys with the $6.50 ones. I'm extremely excited about this. Should be pretty interesting to say the least. It always feels good when you set a goal and achieve it. Have a look at my Step 2 graph.

Once again I need to profit anywhere from $1200-$1300 in the $6.50 90 Man KO's on Full Tilt before taking my shot at the $12 + $1 90 Man's. Anyway here are the results thus far. I'm damn close. Back At It

Sorry it's been so long since I updated. As you know my Dad has been in the Hospital. Today was his for 14th day in. That just sucks. Anyway he was discharged today. Thank GOD. He was totally starting to freak out being cooped up for sooo long. I would like to thank all of you who had him in your thoughts.

Time to really start focusing now. I definitely will be updating more. I will post an update of my goals for the half way point of the month on Monday. I also need to take a look and see where I stand as far as the goals me and my number 1 student sgthatzo set a few months ago.
Oh.....Yes this is what he looks like when he plays online poker. As far as our goals go I am on step 2 of it. I need to profit $1200-$1300 on the $6.50 90 Man KO Tourneys. As soon as that is accomplished I can start grinding the $12 + $1 90 Mans. I will actually just have to mix those in with the $6.50 90 mans because of the time I have to play. They just don't load quick enough. Anyway I plan on playing 80 games tomorrow. That will be extremely tough for me to do but It ain't Nothin' But A "G" Thang BABY!!!!!!!!

Boys Night Out

So Malibubarbie41 had to go to Cincy last night on business.....So that left just the guys to fend for themselves. As soon as J-Rod & the SNAKE got home from school we knocked out there homework then headed off to Ruby Tuesday's for an early dinner. As usual the boys ate everything in sight and then some. Especially the SNAKE. But the biggest surprise of the night was that the Victoria Secret Models were in town doing a "Pretty In Pink" campaign and happened to be signing autographs for all the fans. Now for those of you who don't know, the SNAKE is very fond of the Victoria Secret Models so he went up to Adriana Lima(She's the one with her JUNK pointed towards Daddy J. Yes towards me. Snake asked her if they would all let me take a picture of them and with a very Happy & Inviting smile she said "YES Of Course!!!!!" Anyway these chicks were soooo cool it was hard for me to believe because of all there fame and fortune.

After I took their picture The SNAKE wanted me to bring them home with us but unfortunately Barbie wouldn't approve of these Shenanigans so I had to say NO.....Even though I would have been doing it for his good and not mine.

Seeing as I disappointed the boys by not bringing the models home(although I think the SNAKE got Adriana's digits...@ least I hope so, lol!!!) I decided to let them stay up until 10PM, pop some corn, watch Iron Man and then watch American Idol with the BRAIN.

All in all it was a GREAT Night and one I know the boys will not soon forget.

Sorry I have taken so long to update you all. Malibubarbie41 & The Snake have been sick this last week and have required a lot of maintenance from lephant. lol!!!

First things first. My Dad PapaJim123 was rushed by ambulance yesterday to the Hospital because apparently he turned BLUE and could not breathe, so as soon as I get finished posting this I am heading to Ashtabula to be with him. I need to find out what is wrong. I can never get a straight answer from my Mother MamaBear123, so please say a prayer for him when you guys have a minute. It would be greatly appreciated. Needless to say there will be no poker playing today.

Secondly as most of you know I have moved up to the $6.50 90 Mans exclusively. Here are my results from the month overall.

And also as most of you know I have started working with Bodeye2(the young Swedish PHENOM). Hopefully he will be setting some lofty goals for me in the month of March. We begin working together on February 9th and here are my results since then.

Well since my first 1 on 1 session with Bodeye2 on February 17th here are my results. Yes I know that's not many games at all to base anything on yet.........but I do feel really good about most of the moves I am making on the virtual felt. Definitely just have to get the volume up BIG time.

One last little tid bit. I know we shouldn't ever get fixated on just 1 days results because that really doesn't matter in the long run, but I feel if there is ever anything that can help you get into a more positive and confident mindset then why not do it. That's why I am posting today's results. As you will see I did not get many games in again due to family obligations which I have had many of this week since the 1 on 1 session, but as you family guys know....It just comes with the territory.

Hard Core Poker Study, Showing Of Crib & Night At The Races

I will not be playing any poker today. Yeah you heard me right......No Poker Today!!! I really want to review all of my Hand Histories from the 17th & 18th to see if I have filled any of my many leaks that Bodeye2 has brought to my attention Wednesday morning during our 1 on 1 session as well as run a bunch of hands in Poker Stove to make sure I'm making the right plays so I can get back to the GRIND strong tomorrow afternoon.. Also a Realtor will be showing our house today from 11AM-12PM so that kind of disrupts the Poker schedule.

The BRAIN household is also looking to move into what Malibubarbie41 likes to call the "Bomb-Diggity". Guess I'm going to need to get MUCH MUCH better @ Poker to afford this Palace.

Tonight Malibubarbie41 and myself will be going to Night At The Races with some friends of ours. What I do know about tonight is that this is a fund raiser for the Twinsburg Fire Department. I also know we will be betting on Horse Races that I believe have already happened???? Well that's interesting. Maybe I should do a little research on past horse race results so I can have an unfair +EV advantage tonight. Good idea right?

Iron Man Year End Bonus

For those of you that play on Full Tilt I hope you cleared your Iron Man Year End Bonus. I cleared mine last Monday. It was only for $125 but I'll take it.......especially when I keep losing my ASS on the virtual felt. The $125 will give me approximately 19 more buy ins on the $6.50 90 mans. But after the 200 buy ins I'm already down that barely makes a dent. lol!!!!!!!!

Valentine's Day, Weight Gain & Poker

As you all know this Sunday is Valentine's Day. Don't know what your plans are but I know Malibubarbie41 and I are going to the movies to see the BIG smash hit CHICK FLICK Valentine's Day!!! I'm thinking the only good thing about this movie is going to be that Jamie Foxx is in it. I can tell you this though, the extracurricular activities that will be happening @ the BRAIN household after the CHICK FLICK will be much more entertaining then the movie that's for sure. lol!!!

Weight Gain. WOW. I had to go to my Family Doctor(who by the way is very liked in the BRAIN household) for a 3 month follow up and are you kidding me? I gained 10 pounds!! What!!! Something must have been wrong with their scale. As soon as the Doctor came into the room to see me the first thing he said to me was "Boy the holidays must have been good to you". What a DICK!!!

Poker: Well I had my first group review with Bodeye2 on Tuesday and it was of 1 of my Hand Histories in which I came in 1st Place in a $6.50 90 Man KO Tourney, which is always a good thing. After we all went through it boy did I feel like a rank amateur because of all the spots I missed and or messed up on. It goes to show you even though you may win 1 tournament that doesn't necessarily mean you played all that well. Anyway I am having my first 1 on 1 session with Bodeye2 tomorrow morning @ 9:30AM EST. This is where the magic is gonna happen. I remember earlier this week Bodeye telling me I should be playing 1000 games a month. UUGGHH!!!! That's definitely not going to happen at least not in February. As of today I am at 243 games played for the month and I know either next weekend or the one after Malibubarbie41 and I are going to Atlantic City for a long weekend. Can't wait for that. Poker Training Officially Begins Today

It's finally here!!! The BIG news I have been mentioning is set. I will begin my training with 1 of the BEST & BRIGHTEST young on-line pros

I'm super pumped to have the privilege of working with such a phenomenal player as well as such a nice guy. Or should I say kid. He's only 19 years old but is a BEAST on the virtual felt.........Until he gets me up to speed that is. ll!!! Then he needs to watch out for lephantBRAIN!!! My first session with him is today @ 4PM. Can't wait to hear how his thought process differs from mine. I'm sure like night and day though.

I will keep everyone posted how my progress is going roughly once every 2 weeks or as need be. The goal is to make $100K this year. Yeah you heard me right.........$100K. Probably less because we are starting late and more than likely I will be starting school mid April. It's all good though. I'm sure we will figure something out. So keep your eyes and ears open for the BRAIN TRAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Birthday Party Was A SMASH Hit!!!

Yesterday we celebrated J-Rod's 11th Birthday. He had a sleep over for 5 of his closest friends. This is the 3rd year in a row Malibubarbie41 & I have done this for him. The past 2 years have gone off without a hitch......this year "Not So Much". Apparently they re-inacted the classic Monday Night Football Performance from 1987 of Bo Jackson running over Brian Bosworth. The part of Bo Jackson - played by J-Rod and the part of Brian Bosworth - played by THE WALL. My FRIGGIN BASEMENT Wall!!!!

Well it's pretty safe to say that when his friends go home Malibubarbie41 is gonna lay the SMACK DOWN on J-Rod....."If You Smeeeeeeeeeell What The BU is COOKIN'"!!!

New Waitress Alyssa

Sorry for not putting a pic up of our new Rockne's waitress Alyssa. By no means is she a HOTTIE but she always has an upbeat attitude & a BIG smile on her face. OH. I almost forgot. She has lots of J-U-N-K as well. Maybe she'll let me get a picture of it next week. More importantly though Alyssa always has my Vanilla Vodka & Diet Dr. Pepper ready for me when I walk in. Malibubarbie41 is very fond of her as well because Alyssa conveniently forgets every week to charge us for all of our alcoholic beverages which makes Barbie real happy. Good work Alyssa. Much appreciated.

The Bark Stop & Tuesday Night @ Rocknes

Finally our damn Bark Stop came today. You are probably wondering what the hell a Bark Stop is right? It's exactly what you think it is. It's a professional ultrasonic dog trainer that helps stop your little yappers from yapping all the damn time. Thank you Viatek for making such a wonderful device.

Now as you may or may not know Tuesday night is Rocknes Night out for the BRAIN household. You also probably know our old server Tony decided to get a real job @ the Justice Center so we are in need of a good server desperately and I think we have found her. She has waited on us every Tuesday since Tony's departure and her name is Alyssa. Not sure if I spelled it right or not but I will check tonight. I'm also gonna see if she will let me get a picture of her so I can post it for everyone to see, even the Lesbins that may be reading this. What's a Lesbin you ask? Great question. Well I'm not really sure how the topic came up about girls liking other girls but the Snake(8 year old son) said "Oh yeah I know all about those people. They are called Lesbin's". lol!!! ROFL!!! He thought Lesbians were called Lesbins. That was one of the funniest things I have heard in a really long time but I guess you just had to be there.

Also special shout outs to my good friend as well as on-line Poker Pro Jotagran49. Probably the hottest MTT player going right now. This guy has shipped soooo many damn CHEEZEBURGERS he needs to start his own chain of McDonald's. This guy has already profited over $64K........And that was just in January. So SICK!!! Well as far as the $1.5 Million Guarantee goes there were no CHEEZEBURGERS coming my way. 1st place paid out a whopping $250K. Damn!!! Couldn't really get much going the whole tourney. I was just picking and choosing my spots as best as I could and ended up 576th out of the 7,578 runners that were in it. Last hand I played in it I ran my TT into the JJ of the overwhelming chip leader. gg. I still don't have official word about my BIG poker news. As soon as I do you will.

So last night Malibubarbie41 played in one of those Super Duper Turbo Satellites that only start you with 300 chips to win a seat into the $1.5 Million Guarantee tonight. There were approximately 63 runners and it gave the top 7 an entry into the BIG DANCE. BINK!!!!! Can you believe she won an entry? I can. She is the biggest luck box I have ever seen. I mean she landed me right? lol!!!!! Anyway she decided to let the BRAIN play in it tonight so she unregistered from the tourney and shipped me the $216 for a shot @ riches. So be on the look out lephantBRAIN and if you happen to be in a hand with him you are with no doubt "DRAWING DEAD". Hopefully I will have some GREAT news for everyone tomorrow.

I Am Iron Man!!!!

I bet you thought I was going to have a clip from the movie or something. WRONG!!! Even though I do love that movie. Anyway something I recently achieved roughly 2 months ago is Iron Man status on Full Tilt. I'm attaching pictures on how to do it cause I don't want to bore you with the details. When you do accomplish it you get an Iron Man Chip next to your screen name while you are playing. I know you are probably thinking that it's pretty cheesy but I disagree. I actually like it. Anything that can give me a boost in my confidence @ the tables is a good thing...Don't you think? lol!!! Oh and lastly. I hope to have some very exciting news to share with you about my poker career in a couple of days.

Will Smith...My Man

For those of you who don't know. I have a bit of I guess you could say a MAN CRUSH on Will Smith. I have loved this guy from the Days of DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. You have to remember their hits such as "Parents Just Don't Understand", "Girl's Ain't Nothing But Trouble", "Nightmare On My Street" & the classic hit "Summertime". Just love that song. Will has to be one of the top 3 most talented men on Earth. I would say the list goes something like this. 1) lephantBRAIN, 2) Jamie Foxx & 3) Will Smith or maybe 1) lephantBRAIN, 2) Will Smith & 3) Jamie Foxx. Anyway you look at it he is a true talent. So the reason I am on the subject of Will Smith is because while reading Johnny Hilldo's blog yesterday(If you are not reading his blog you should, http://johnnyhilldo.blogspot.com/) he had a video of Will Smith on there talking about LIFE. WOW!!!!! It was in my opinion one of the most enlightening interview pieces ever put together. It definitely helped that it was of Will but it was very powerful and I think everyone should really listen to what he says in this clip because he is absolutely right......Anything is possible in life if you are willing to go out and just get it. People are just to damn scared to go get what they want. While they are showing a clip of one of his movies Pursuit of Happiness Will says to his son "People can't do something themselves, they want to tell you, you can't do it.....If you want something go get it..PERIOD"!!! How true is that. If you are surrounded with people like that(I like to call them dream stealer's) get away, surround yourself with people who believe in you and will fight to the death for you. Update On My Goals As Of 1-24-2010

Well as you know I just started task 2 of my goals which is to profit anywhere from $1200-$1300 on the $6.50 90 Man KO tourneys. First week did not go as planned but definitely not as bad as I originally thought. I actually thought I lost at least half of the money I made from the $3.30 90 mans in just my first week of task 2. Boy that would have friggin' sucked. It has to be because I made 26 Final Tables out of the 189 games I played. That's 1 out of every 7.26 games played. Just can't finish strong @ the Final Table. I promise you this though. If I make that many Final Tables next week it will be a very profitable week to say the least. Here's my results thus far. UUGGHH!!!

Well since starting task 2 of my goals(which is to profit anywhere between $1200-$1300 on the $6.50 90 Man KO tourneys) I have lost my ASS thus far. I haven't Shark Scoped myself yet but believe me it's not good and I just can't stomach looking at my graph right now. I will post an update on task 2 this Sunday with Shark Scope graphs. As of right now 1 out of every 6-7 games I play I'm making a Final Table(which is normally pretty good) but just can't seem to finish strong. I'm not gonna be able to achieve my goals with a bunch of 6th & 7th places that's for sure. It would just suck if I lost the original $600 I won on the $3.30 90 Mans and had to start all over with those again right? To ensure this doesn't happen I have already reached out to 1 of the best 90 man players in the world to assist me. His name will remain anonymous for now.

Anyway this video you are about to watch is my first one so bare with me, it's a little rough. I'm going over 2 separate hands I played from 2 separate Final Tables today. I just really wanted to drive home the point that whether you are running really good or piss poor like I am, under no circumstances must you TILT. Just look back at your hand histories and make sure you got your money in with the best hand as well as see if maybe you could have played the hand any differently.

No On Line poker today. Went to Big Gram's funeral. I held up pretty good until Malibubarbie41's Mother JUNKnTRUNK1 gave the Eulogy. It was a really great speech but just broke me down. Damn!!! Thought I was gonna go the whole day without crying. Anyway keeping it short today. Looking forward to shipping some CHEEZEBURGERS tomorrow. A wonderful woman, Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother passed away yesterday at the age of 93. Big Gram(name was coined by J-Rod @ the age of 2) Malibubarbie41's Grandmother left us yesterday for a much better place I'm sure. All the years I have known this woman she has been nothing less then kind, generous and loving to everyone she has known including me. She was the Mother of 5 children, 12 grand children & 17 great grand children. I've never before seen so much love in one family before. Definitely something to behold. I really don't want to get any more emotional than I already am so I just want to leave you with this poem by Judith Karen Bulock called Remember Me.

Live Poker Tonight!!!

Going to the "Mountains Ear" in West Virginia tonight to play some live poker with my top student sgthatzo. This should be a very fun evening to say the least mostly because this guy loves to drink when he plays live poker. He also loves to buy me all my drinks as well. It should actually be a pretty relaxing evening BS'ing with all the FISH at the tables........That includes you as well sgthatzo. lol!!! The Bad Beat Jackpot there is $87K. Pretty nice chunk of change I would say. I'll update everyone this weekend how it went as well as any interesting hands that may occur.

I got a late start playing today because of our weekly cleaning service that comes dressed in French Maid outfits. Very distracting, if you know what I mean, so I decided to just admire the view today and wait until they left. lol!!!

Yes!!! Finally I have completed task 1 of my poker goals. As stated in previous posts I needed to profit anywhere between $600-$650 in the $3.30 90 Man SNG MTT's on Full Tilt. Well today was the day it happened. I only played 23 tourneys but managed to make 6 Final Tables. I ran really bad at the Final Tables though. I got 1-9th Place, 1-7th Place, 1-6th Place, 1-5th Place, 1-3rd Place and the last tournament I played......You guessed it. Ship the CHEEZEBURGERS!!!!! 1st Place BABY!!!! This means on to task 2 of my goals starting tomorrow. I now need to profit anywhere between $1200-$1300 in the $6.50 90 Man SNG MTT's. I'm gonna have to get my mind right though. I'm gonna have to prepare myself for bigger upswings as well as bigger downswings(which always SUCK). I just need to stay focused and always remember that I am a winning player and no matter how many bad beats I may take, the $$$ will end up in my account. Update On My Goals As Of 1-10-2010

Ok as stated in a previous post I need to profit $600-$650 in the $3.30 90 Man SNG MTT's on Full Tilt before I can move up to the $6.50 90 Mans and be properly bankrolled for them. I guess you can say it was a fairly light week for me as far as games played goes pretty much due to the recoop time I needed from our A.C trip over the New Year's weekend. It definitely took it's toll on me physically. Also not playing on line poker for 4 days during that trip was a BIG change to my routine. So I kind of wanted to ease my way back into playing again this week. I only played 129 games. That means I spent $425.70 on these tournaments alone this week and that's not including all the Head's Up Tourneys I played as well. So here is my recent Shark Scope graph. Expect BIGGER numbers from me next week. Hold on. Since I have been hearing GRIPES that these graphs are too small and they are hard to see, I just wanted to tell all of my millions of followers to just click on the damn thing to make it BIGGER. lol!!!

Oh. One last thing. Here is probably one of my favorite songs right now primarily for 2 reasons. 1) I love Rap music and 2) BIG Money is what I expect from Poker this year folks.

Snow Day & A Little Poker

Are you kidding me? A SNOW DAY!!!! Really? UUGGHH!!! J-Rod & the SNAKE(My 8 year old step son)both said 10 Hail Mary's & 10 Our Fathers last night in hopes that they would have a snow day today. All I can say to those of you that don't believe in prayer is "Wake Up and Smell The Coffee" cause it really does work.

So the SNAKE & Oreo(1 of our 2 Mini Wiener dog's) went to work with Malibubarbie41 today and J-Rod & Carmella(A.K.A. Mella Baby) stayed home with me. Mella Baby is sad that her brother abandoned her today as evident to me in this picture.

Just so the SNAKE doesn't feel left out here is a picture of him and Oreo.

As far as poker goes today I just hammered out 22 games. I made 5 Final Tables with 1-9th Place, 1-7th Place, 1-3rd Place, 1-2nd Place & Ship the CHEEZEBURGERS....1-1st Place Baby!!! Here is the graph.

Standuuuured Tuesday Night

Every Tuesday night for the BRAIN household is Rocknes night out. This all came about because Jarrod(A.K.A. J-Rod, A.K.A Worm) my 10 year old step son told his Mommy this is just what we have to do every Tuesday night MOM whether you like it or not. How could Malibubarbie41 every say NO to that? lol!!!

After a lovely Chicken Dipper Dinner with Fries and Fat Free Honey Mustard Dressing and 2 Vanilla Vodka Diet Dr. Peppers the BRAIN clan got some upsetting news. Our server Tony who has always waited on us just got hired on @ the Justice Center. I guess this is good for him but what about Me, Barbie and the kids? After all we are the ones who probably put him through College with our very generous 30% tips and this is the thanks we get.

With no luck at all Barbie and I tried & tried to hire him on as our Live In Full Time Chef, Bartender and Waiter. Finally after an hour of haggling with him we decided to just let him go out into the "Real World" and make something of himself. So long Tony we're gonna miss you.

New Year's In Atlantic City!!!

What a GREAT last few days in Atlantic City. Malibubarbie41 and I arrived in A.C. @ 11:00AM Thursday morning. We or should I say Barbie41 went straight to the High Roller Slots in hopes of hitting it BIG!!! I tagged along because I like to see how how a BIG TIME BALLA Rolls. When I watch her continuously hitting the max bet button on a high limit slot for $50 a spin it just makes me sick to my stomach. That's just how she does it and by her doing so it allows us to fly, stay, eat & drink for free every time we go to any Harrah's property. That's always a plus. I decided to not play any live poker on New Year's Eve and just spend some much needed QT(Quality Time For You NOOBS That Didn't Know What It Stood For). So after a little slot playing and some grub we decided to take a nap so we would be able to watch the ball drop @ Midnight. We went back to the Casino after our nap so I could witness the High Roller in action again and once again The BRAIN got sick to his stomach watching the Harrah's slots devour Malibubarbie41's hard earned money in short time. I knew she was a little bummed so we decided to go back to the room to watch the Ball drop. BIG mistake. We fell asleep and missed the whole damn thing. lol!!!! That's OK though I still got to spend plenty of QT with my baby.

On to Friday & Saturday. Cash Game Poker my friends. $1-$2 No Limit. How friggin' boring. How can people just sit there hour after hour playing on just 1 table? Are you kidding me? By no means am I saying it's beneath me but I am used to playing 10 games at a time which equals roughly 600-700 hands an hour on line as opposed to 25 hands per hour live.......If your lucky. UUGGHH!!! No fear though there is always liquor and the Bad Beat Jackpot of $500K. That's right $500K. I don't want to bore anyone with too many details like the clock being called on me during a $500 decision or a chick getting mad @ me for raising her BB when I had AK, because the question I keep on getting from everyone is "Well how much did you win"? Great question indeed. Let's just say at 1 point I was up to around $1200 and for those of you who know me I would normally walk at that point but I think Jaime Foxx said it best. "BLAME IT ON THE AL-AL-AL-AL-AL-ALCOHOL"!!!!!!!!!!! Damn. So I only net profited roughly $200 on the trip. I'll take a win any day though. So last but not least. Malibubarbie41's net profit. It's always a mystery to me but in my guess-ta-mation she is down @ least $2K. Actually a little more cause I gave her a $1K loan. I'll probably get SMACKED for saying that but "It Is What It Is". lol!!!!

Great trip though and I look forward to going back this February.

Oh almost forgot. Since I am married to a High Rolling Casino Celeb we get the best rooms available to mankind. I took a picture of our bathroom mirror. "Your bathroom mirror you say"? Yes my bathroom mirror. It had a damn TV in it!!! Now that's P.I.M.P. I hope you can see it.

First of all this is my first blog posting ever so don't be alarmed if I am not grammatically correct. lol!!! I'm a bit under the weather today. Seems to be a head cold. Hopefully my beautiful wife will take care of me and nurse me back to health because we have a BIG trip planned to Atlantic City for the New Year.

Let me start by saying me and one of my close poker buddies and friend sgthatzo(Full Tilt username) set some goals for ourselves at the end of November. We are both just going to start out by playing the $3.30 90 Man SNG MTT's on Full Tilt. In order for us to be able to move up in stakes we need to profit anywhere from $600-$650 in these. That would give us approximately 100 buy in's for the next level 90 mans. Once we accomplish this(which by the way is not going very well for Daddy J) we can move up to the $6.50 90 Man SNG MTT's. Once we profit $1200-$1300 on those we can jump up to the $12 + $1 90 Mans, and so on and so forth until we eventually are both playing in the $48 + $4 90 Mans which by the way if you ship one of those you make a cool $1,152!!! Now some of you may be saying why are you only playing a $3 tourney, why wouldn't you play in the higher limit ones? Good question. I am actually bankrolled for the bigger games but not quite sure I am ready for them. Since I do not play poker professionally(at least not until I win a W.S.O.P. Bracelet) I figured I might as well stick with my goals I set and see if I can accomplish them right? On a typical day I probably only play between 20-30 90 Man Tourney's. Today I actually got in 19 because I just wasn't feeling very well. I managed to make 2 FT's and shipped them both for a net profit of $92 on the day says SharkScope. I'm gonna see if I can post a picture on here of the days results. When I get back from Atlantic City I will give you an update on how things went for the both of us(Samantha & I) as well as an updated Sharkscope of my results since starting this little venture.
